Author L Guy Burton's Latest Novel Addresses HIV/AIDS Epidemic

Every 9 minutes someone in the US becomes newly infected with HIV/AIDS. 1.2 million Americans are living with the disease. More than half a million people with HIV/AIDS in the US have died since the epidemic began in 1981.

Warwick, NY (I-Newswire) September 5, 2011 - Author L Guy Burton has published several books and ebooks, one of which is a controversial novel, titled "Come Die With Me" about Amanda, a well-educated young woman, who has tired of being an exotic club dancer and has begun a new career as a chiropractor and licensed masseuse.

Having been infected with the AIDS virus by her boyfriend, who has since died from the disease, she overcomes her trepidation to embark on a vengeful mission to get even with men for their lustful pursuits.

Believing she will soon die, she uses her AIDS-wracked body as a weapon of mass destruction, and is driven to take with her as many as come to her willingly, choosing to ignore the strong protests of her good friend and business partner, Deleesa.

Every 9 minutes someone in the US becomes newly infected with HIV. 1.2 million Americans are living with the disease. More than half a million people with HIV/AIDS in the US have died since the epidemic began in 1981.

This being the harsh reality, every possible means of getting the message to those who need it most should be utilized, which is what Burton is attempting to do.

"Come Die With Me" by L Guy Burton has caught the attention of the president of Bennett College for Women in Greensboro, N.C., Dr. Julianne Malveaux, Ph.D. She recommends that every young person should read this book as a public health alert and wake-up call for our youth who continue to engage in indiscriminate unrestrained sex.

Burton says he was motivated to write this compelling novel after watching a close acquaintance suffer with the disease and threaten to wreak vengeance on all of mankind.

However, the real-life “Amanda” wisely chose to defuse her anger and fear in other ways, with her fight being taken up by her lesbian twin sister, through whom the story is being told.
