Chicago, IL (I-Newswire) August 13, 2012 - Author Bryan W. Alaspa has announced that the publication of his new novel, and first hard-boiled detective novel, “Deklan Falls: One Against Many” will be August 21, 2012. However, as a special thank you to the Kindle fans who have supported him these past year, anyone with a Kindle or Kindle App can get a version of the new novel for free five days leading up to the official release date. The special free edition will become available for Kindle users August 16, 2012.
“Amazon has an amazing program that lets you run promotions like this giveaway via their KDP Select program” said the author from his Chicago offices. “And Kindle users have always been there for me, even before other companies had e-readers. So, as a way of saying thanks to them, I am making the novel available for download free, five days before the official publication date. This is my first straight genre detective novel and I am very proud of it, and I wanted to give something back to the Kindle fans out there. I am excited because this book has been a labor of love and I even got Erin Engelmann to design the cover, the same person to designed the cover to my bestselling novel 'RIG: A Novel of Terror.'”
"Deklan Falls: One Against Many" is a detective story set in the fictional city of Oldtowne, which is based loosely on the Ohio city of Youngstown. It tells the story of a former corrupt police officer turned private detective, turned drunk, who is hired to find a missing adult film star that vanished over thirty years ago. If Falls can find her, a filmmaker will pay him a cool million, but to find her he has to delve into the sleaziest parts of Oldtowne and face off against the mob family that runs the entire city. Mr. Alaspa says he has more plans for the character of Deklan Falls and hopes to run a series of novels featuring him.
The novel will be available exclusively as an ebook starting August 21. It will be available only for Kindle users, and Kindle App users, for 90 days. The free promotion will start August 16, 2012. After the 90 days are up, the novel will be made available for all other ereaders and electronic devices.
