A most imaginative and brilliant Book. A fascinating peek in the mind of a serial killer….

Washington (I-Newswire) December 11, 2011 - Madman in the Mirror

What happens when a serial killer raises his child to be just like him?

Henry was brought up from an infant to be a serial killer just like his old man, but years later as he discovered that he perhaps wanted to turn away from the dark and into the light, it had become a complicated thing for a shattered mind.

Harold forced Henry to observe the act of murder in the mirror before he could even walk. He saw terrible things in that mirror, and now in fact the man in the mirror talks to him. He was never shown affection of any kind and driven insane at a young age.

Henry has a difficult time forming relationships with anyone, especially the opposite sex. Humorous conditions arise as he’s like a whale in a small pool, his fractured mind simply doesn’t fit.

It’s only when Henry takes a golden retriever pup from an abusive teen that he feels affection for the first time in his life. The dog does wonders for his self-worth. It makes him think that there just might be more to life than just killing.

Coming soon! Dracula: Hearts of Stone

First of the trilogy, available March 2012.

Dracula is a bit of a good guy and must emerge out of his suicidal funk to help save the word. It's a place where romance, magic and vampires coexist.

The Author

The writing spark was first initiated by reading the works of Harlan Ellison. A. J. Gallant is now inspired by such authors as Steven King, J. K. Rowling, Dean Koontz and many others. The author resides in New Brunswick and is at work on a new Dracula series, with magic, romance, and the battle to save humanity. The first of the vampire trilogy should be available in the first quarter of 2012. Formerly a writer of screenplays, Madman in the Mirror is A J Gallant's first novel.

Praise for Madman in the Mirror:

Fascinating peek in the mind of a serial killer

"A highly engrossing tale, "Madman in the Mirror" is a story about a man - Henry Johnson - who is raised by a psychopath and forced to watch - even as a baby - his father murder people on a regular basis. He is also abused and brainwashed, turning him into a sociopath. Henry stalks and murders people efficiently - he tells himself that he may be a killer, but he doesn't want people to suffer. He is haunted by hallucinations, including a specter in his mirror that talks to him." Amazon Review

A Most Imaginative and Brilliant Book

"A very unique and well written book-MADMAN IN THE MIRROR is on a class by itself- and that is a very impressive class at that-AJ is a master at creating word images that remain with the reader long after the book is finished-the true sign of a great writer" Rick Friedman, Founder The James Mason Community Book Club
