Auditions Announced for Columbia City Ballet's Sleeping Beauty at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County

Auditions For Columbia City Ballet's "Sleeping Beauty" to be held at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County on January 15, 2012 for ages 4 and up.

Camden, SC (I-Newswire) January 5, 2012 - Auditions for Columbia City Ballet's Production of Sleeping Beauty will be held in the dance studio on the campus of the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County on Sunday, January 15 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Performance will be February 28 and March 1.

Dancers ages 4 and up, male and female are invited to audition. This is a great opportunity for community youth to be a part of this professional dance company under the artistic direction of William Starrett.

The audition schedule is as follows:
Ages 4-6 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Ages 7-10 3:00-4:00 p.m.
Ages 10 and up 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Dancers with more than two years of experience on pointe should bring their pointe shoes for the audition. All female dancers should wear black leotard, pink tights, with hair in slick bun, and wear lip and cheek color with light eye shadow. All male dancers should wear a white leotard or plain white T-shirt, black tights and black shoes or black tights with white socks and white shoes. There is a $10 audition fee. Checks should be made payable to Columbia City Ballet.
