The Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) will host a Behavioral Economics Conference on March 25 – March 27, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, IL. The conference is expected to attract attendees from around the world.





















Chicago, IL (I-Newswire) March 17, 2011 - The Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) will host a Behavioral Economics Conference on March 25 – March 27, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, IL. The conference is expected to attract attendees from around the world.

Attendees include scientists, applied researchers, and undergraduate and graduate students.

Registration is available on site and is open to association members and non-members. Credentialed members of the news media may attend free of charge, with advance approval.

According to Dr. Timothy Hackenberg, Conference Program Chair, presenters will examine a wide array of behavioral economic perspectives, producing new insights into behavioral and neural mechanisms of economic behavior, including problem behavior (e.g., addictions, gambling). This conference will also address how behavioral economics may inform public policy.

Three clusters of interrelated presentations will be given by 10 invited presenters, each followed by a moderator-led discussion. Topics for each cluster of presentations include: Economics and Social Policy, Neuroeconomics, and Impulsivity and Discounting.
