One such need was regarding customers who were using GE CimWorks Visual SPC and trying to connect GagePort interfaces to USB ports on the PC’s. ASDQMS has developed a version of the GageMux USB that emulates the GagePort GP 2104.

With ASDQMS’s new version of the GageMux USB, customers can purchase RS232 and USB interfaces that will work with the GE CimWorks Visual SPC software. When Visual SPC opens up, it reads ASD’s GageMux as if it was the GagePort GP 2104. Now ASD customers can request readings by port or even trigger readings using individual footswitches.

Worried about switching software packages and subsequent compatibility? Don’t be. If the customer decides in the future to switch Statistical Process Control Software packages, all that is needed to do is load the standard firmware into the GageMux USB. It’s that simple.
