(I-Newswire) October 22, 2009 - Faustson Tool (www.faustson.com), a worldwide leader in five-axis manufacturing technology, was recently honored by the City & Community of Arvada (www.arvada.org) and the Arvada Economic Development Corporation (www.aeda.biz) at the 15th Annual Arvada Business Appreciation Breakfast. The October 14th event, held at the Arvada Center for the Performing Arts, recognized Faustson, along with several other local businesses, as a 2009 Outstanding Business.

Arvada's recognition of the company is based on Faustson's longevity and continued growth and success, which has created jobs and brought national and international business to the community, along with significant attention through the firm's relationships with prestigious clientele.

Faustson's Director of Operations Heidi Hostetter said, "After 27 years in business, and with the recent passing of Co-Founder Paul Svaldi and a shift in ownership, Co-Founder Alicia Svaldi and the Faustson Tool management team is honored by this recognition from Arvada. A company's true strength is revealed in trying times, and any of our customers will tell you that we have remained consistent, steadfast and innovative during this recent adversity. We look forward to being part of the Arvada community for many years to come."

Faustson Tool's Co-Founder Paul Svaldi began working for a machine shop in Arvada when he was just 14 years old. He later taught machine shop courses at Front Range Community College, and decided that he wanted to share the passion and insight with others. He did that by founding Faustson Tool in 1982.

The company began in an 80-square-foot space with one milling machine and two employees, handling overflow work from larger shops. Today the firm's facility is 16,000 square feet. In anticipation of continued growth and expansion, Faustson has purchased an adjacent building and plans to expand into it the 2011/2012 timeframe, doubling the size of its manufacturing floor.

Noteworthy milestones during the company's history include pioneering the introduction of wire EDM and five-axis technology on Colorado's Front Range; establishing partnerships and performing work for clients in China in recent years; creating parts for the newest generation of U.S.-designed fighter aircraft; creating a key part for Ball Aerospace that went into its joint project with NASA, the Kepler telescope; and continuing to help its medical industry clients make advancements.

Faustson currently employs 20, an experienced and cohesive team with a shared Quality/Mission statement, "to provide high-quality products and services to our customers in the agreed-upon delivery time, and to gain and retain their loyalty."
