Artist On Line Music Promotions Radio launched The Friday Night Progressive Radio Show on facebook and the broadcast is done entirely through facebook.

Delaware (I-Newswire) December 27, 2011 - Artist On Line Music Promotions Radio launched The Friday Night Progressive Radio Show on facebook and the broadcast is done entirely through facebook. According to CEO Ron Marquiss “AOLMP is very innovative and the first to do this. We use the very best variable mp3 encoders and broadcast that way too. Though listeners may need a good internet connection, we provide access through broadband and for those who are on dial up”.

FNP plays music and artists on facebook, with well over 50 artists played weekly.
Many artists come to FNP to be played. FNP also seeks out artists to be played. FNP’s membership is respected and in turn FNP supports the musicianship and material of the artist. The new artists are played first with a short Bio commentary with past FNP artists to follow. FNP plays mostly Progressive Rock but through the years Progressive has expanded into many genres including fusion. The song structures are usually long and varied as in a classical piece but FNP will play the shorter songs too. Art Rock, Melodic Metal, Psychedelic, Jam Bands and many more are all included. No dance beat or Pop structures are played. FNP caters to the musician and their abilities and will rarely consider looped based music.

How it started:

Friday Night Progressive started on Artist On Line Music Promotions facebook group. In the beginning many artists would get together on Friday night and post music and comment on each other’s material. As the show expanded AOLMP RADIO was born. One of the main features of FNP is the AOLMP Radio Chat, an area for chat or a comment section. Listeners can ask the artist questions and comments can be given.

About AOLMP:
AOLMP is the only Radio Station / Radio Show currently on facebook that does not require listeners to go to outside links to listen to the featured artists songs.
