Annual Oceanside Harbor Days - September 29 and 30th!

The Annual Oceanside Harbor Days event will be held September 29 and 30th, 2012 from 9-6 on Saturday and 9-5 on Sunday. This event is sponsored by the City of Oceanside, Oceanside Chamber of Commerce and presented by Genentech.

Oceanside, CA (I-Newswire) September 25, 2012 - The Annual Oceanside Harbor Days event will be held September 29 and 30th, 2012. This event is sponsored by the City of Oceanside, Oceanside Chamber of Commerce and presented by Genentech.

Attendees can enjoy a wide variety of events and attractions and soak in the fun. The event features over 220 arts and craft exhibits, a great food court and a beer garden sponsored by Prohibition Brewing Company. With a fishing derby, beauty pageant, karate demonstration, Tiki Swim and more, Harbor Days never runs out of fun!
A Coast Guard Cutter will be docked and available for dock tours. The Pirate Village is always hit with the kids (young and old) and the pirates interact with the crowds all weekend.

Thanks to our military, the Navy LCAC will make an exciting landing on the beach early Saturday morning and depart that evening. Other military vehicles from Camp Pendleton will be on display on the Harbor Beach.

Be sure to take advantage of free parking at the Transit Center and take the double decker busses to the Harbor. They’ll be running all weekend and are free!
The Tsunami Parachute Team will be landing on the beach at 3:00 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Several popular bands will be performing on our main stage including Irieside, Gone Blonde, Jamie Beeman and the Stingers, Nautikal, Quietfire, and Splinter Faction. Also performing will be the local CCF Poly Dance Team, Karate for Kids and the Oceanside Dance Academy.

Always a crowd favorite, Sunday’s "Nail and Sail" competition draws thousands of spectators. Teams race to build a boat from scratch and then two person teams must row across the harbor and back. Don’t miss the fun to see who will sink first or if there will be a new reigning champion!

Oceanside Harbor Days is a festival like no other, combining the attractions of a street fair with the fun and sun of the beach and Harbor!
