Previously, Pam has worked with Dame Kelly Holmes’s charity: DKH Legacy, BBC Berks and Women of the Year amongst others.
After training as a financial adviser, Pam, who is Prince 2 Practitioner trained, established her first business in 1993, which was a huge success and employed 13 members of staff working with an impressive client list.
Her awards include the Frink Award by the Women of the Year Assembly in 2001, the Bob Cotton Citizen Award by Unison in 2001, and a nomination for the ‘Local Hero’ award in the Pride of Reading Awards 2012.
In 1999 the Paddington train crash changed her life. Suffering severe burns to her hands and face she defeated all medical expectations and survived. Out of the tragedy Pam reassessed her life and has become a catalyst for change, helping businesses find the determination, tenacity and creativity to survive and prosper.
Pam also reaches out to help individuals with her skills and is the ambassador of the Healing Foundation, a fundraising charity which helps people with disfigurement. Pam travels the country and provides advice and support for fellow burns victims.

It sounds simple, but projects have a nasty habit of becoming costly, out of control and can fail to realise the goals that they were supposed to achieve.
So as an independent Project Manager – what can I offer you?
I have cross functional management skills. As a business owner I had to deal with every level within an organisation, from Executives and Senior Managers to people on the work floor. This gave me cross functional management skills – a vital asset when it comes to understanding how and why a business operates.
I apply tenacity to everything I do. I had tenacity before the Paddington Train Crash, however, recovering from my injuries and running a national campaign to make railways safer has taught me the true meaning of tenacity: Perseverance and a refusal to give up while there is any chance of success.
I inspire creativity. I temper the above with being able to stand back and review the challenges any project throws-up. I will always try to find creative solutions to seemingly insurmountable situations. If an obstacle stands in the way of the goal, there is more often than not, a way around it. Contemplation and consideration are more important than many give them credit for.
I’m always looking for the bigger picture. I have the ability to view all projects from above and from one step removed. As an independent project manager I have no vested interests and can objectively view, review and make suggestions whilst still managing the project forwards.
I’m a catalyst for change. Project management is not all I do. The diverse nature of my other interests help me to see project content and scope on a wider basis. I can act as a catalyst towards the true change that is needed which may not be what you thought it was in the first instance!Less..
