About Anna Fong:
Designer Anna Fong is creating a buzz in the global
fashion arena. A Columbia College Fashion Design
School alum, Anna was picked up by Ralph Lauren's
license house in NYC. She gained professional
experience while working in New York, and returned
to the windy city to launch her own business. Anna
Fong Collection was launched in 2008 and
immediately gained recognition from fashionistas
and celebrities alike. Ms. Fong's designs have
since been worn by the likes of Kimora Lee Simmons,
Christina Brondo, Nadine Velazquez, Miss Universe -
Dayanara Torres, comedienne Vanessa Fraction, Ellie
Rodriguez, news reporter Tsi Tsi Ki Felix, and
radio personality Bionce Foxx. Her designs have
appeared on television on E! Entertainment, Style
Network, Si TV, Univision, Escandalo TV, WGN news,

Fashion Designer Anna Fong's talent, creativity and name is quickly becoming a sensation in the fashion industry and celebrity circles. Recently nominated as the 2008 rising star of new designers by Fashion Group International she is destined to make a significant mark in the international arena of new women designers.
Borrowing from her unique heritage of Guatemalan-Chinese , Anna brings a fresh new concept in the world of fashion that exudes traditional elegance and sophistication.
In designing her collection Ms. Fong draws inspiration from her favorite era of the 1940s and 1980s. She relies on such style influences as art, photographs, films, vintage wardrobes and the work of artist Freida Kahlo. These influences find their way into Fong's personal style, which are directly reflected in the Anna Fong collection.
Anna Fong blends timeless and classic design elements with modern fashion sensibilities. Fong achieves this by drawing on her understanding of vintage clothing, fashion history and tailoring, and then accenting it with bohemian and ethnic details. Particularly significant to this diverse mix are clean designs, the accents of which convey the spirit of each collection. The Anna Fong collection provides an original look for the style-conscious woman who might be aware of the trends but does not rely on them.
After working in New York at Chaps Ralph Lauren licensee design house, where she gained professional experience in the fashion industry, Fong decided to return to Chicago to pursue her own business.
The winner of the 2007 AOL Latino Fashionista, in New York City Anna has dazzled the fashion world with her creations on international stages such as her recent travels to Nagoya Japan as part of Toyota's fashion design team for the new I-real concept personal vehicle (July 2008), Chicago's World Fashion Focus representing China (October 2008), Featured Designer at Latino fashion Week (November 2008), Model Shoot for Latina Magazine with Si TV (Los Angeles March 2008), Internationally featured in People en Espanol Magazine (November 2007), among other prestigious events.
This young Fashion Designer from Chicago was first introduced to Fashion at the age of five, making clothes for her dolls. In High School she was enrolled in a fashion design summer course while completing her work- study at Gallery 37. She continued with her fashion studies at Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois completing her BA in liberal Arts with a major in Fashion Design.
