Android Applications Poised to Surpass iPhone Apps - Is Android Better of Two?
According to diverse set of reports, Google Play already is packed with more than 880,000 apps and it may add 525,000 to it in the subsequent year. With said, can Android be considered better of the two?
Santa Clara (I-Newswire) August 19, 2013 - Android is on cloud nine as it has got all reasons to be! No other application development provider has achieved such a steep acclivity in a short period of time, besides their arch-rivals Apple. Android is ascending on all prospects and just not only on application development. Even its OS is selling like hot cake in the market compared to other OSs. As per a recent survey, the Android OS is found to be the top shipped, a little higher than the Apple's iOS.
Android mobile apps offer more freedom to developers and users as it is completely open source in nature. As a result, they are easy to update regularly and no permission required for doing so! Android applications are also highly beneficial in data access from other applications in the device and it adds more spice to this king of app development. The phenomenal run of Android apps has lured more numbers of customers as a result there is a staggering increase in the Android-based devices sales all over the globe!
With this set of information, is it wise to conclude that Android is better of the two?
Well, may be or mayn't!
But, one thing is for sure. The invasion of Android into the app market has really raised the eyebrows of many in the Apple's camp undoubtedly. Android may be considered as an application development leader today; but, Apple is the pioneer of apps. One can't underestimate Apple as it always hits the market with plenty of surprises. Apple has the quality factor and incredible user-experience which either Android or Windows can ever match! Still Apple has got a massive volume of customers all around the globe for its impeccable quality.
The biggest setback associated with Apple is the cost-effectiveness compared to other factor. Apple's applications are touch higher in cost compared to Android's apps. But, Apple seems to have realized it and working on it. But, it isn't afraid to release a few top-class free applications to its users as well. Apple's app store is constantly attracting more numbers of developers compared to Android app store! A survey reveals Apple's app store has pulled in more than 40,000 developers while Android managed just 23,000! So, it is obvious that Apple hasn't still lost its craze in the mobile app space.
When inquired about this, Mr. Sriram Manoharan, Managing Director of Contus an emerging Android application development company, revealed "It is a tough question to answer as both platforms are robust and trustworthy. Thought it looks like Android apps are heading the race, one can't rule out Apple's applications as they are still favored by many across the globe. For me, both the Android and Apple's applications are performing really well in the market equally. So far, we have developed equal number of applications for both the platforms and it is pretty hard to say which is topping the chart of the two! But, whatever it is, the mobile application development is growing healthily and it is good sign for mobile-savvy businesses and customers."
Indeed! Though it is believed that Android applications are performing hot in the market, Apple is not too far away from catching up with it! It has the potential, expertise and quality to dethrone any application provider on a given day! So, as of now let's conclude that both these tech giants are the two best performers in the market!
