AMERICAN IDOL FINALIST TO APPEAR ON �PLAYHOUSE, A NEW BLACK FAMILY CHANNEL SERIES

(I-Newswire) March 2, 2006 - Before appearing on American Idol, singer Kinnik Sky showed off a different talent. The American Idol 2006 finalist Kinnik Sky will be appearing on Playhouse 22, a new series premiering on Black Family Channel this April. While American Idol displays her singing talents, Playhouse 22 will showcase her versatility as an actress.

"Kinnik auditioned for Black Family Channel for our new reality series, Playhouse 22 where she displayed her theatrical talent as an actress. It's great to see that she has made it this far during the intense American Idol competition," said Yvette Broughton, Vice President of Production.

Playhouse 22 is an original series developed by Black Family Channel CEO and President Robert Townsend. The reality series is based on 24 groups of aspiring writers, directors, actors and producers who are challenged to develop an original dramatic scene. Each creative team strives to deliver compelling scripts and intriguing scenes. Twenty-four groups begin the journey but only seven will make the final cut - but not before braving the waters of creative conflict.
