AMB has recently delivered tools to facilitate real time governance, SOA governance appliances and unstructured content governance capabilities, and is proud to extend their reach as the first major governance vendor with a community edition.

Based on questions we have received from interested companies and vendors wishing to integrate the community edition into their solutions, we have included the following:
What do I need to do to use the community edition of the AMB suite?
The user interface is downloaded when you first request the community edition. It can be used for defining access to your data, viewing the accessible repository and registering for the community governance algorithm add-in. After the simple registration process, we will allow you to download the community governance algorithm add-in, which provides the community engine for governance. We will also provide an explanation of what differs between the community, professional and enterprise editions of the AMB information governance suite. The most obvious benefit of free and open source software is cost. Free to download, easy to install, easy to use, and easy to update, and comes without the complication of licensing issues.
Can I get training and support for the community edition?
AMB offers training and support programs for the community edition. For more information about scheduled training course and support programs, contact AMB at support@ambpdm.com.
Can I upgrade the community edition to the Professional or Enterprise editions?
AMB would be pleased to discuss the upgrade options available to you. For more information about upgrade options, contact AMB at community@ambpdm.com.
As a vendor, can I imbed the community edition with my product offering?
Vendors can request to imbed the community edition in their products. There is an annual registration fee to be included in the VAR program of the AMB suite. Similarly, the customers of the vendor imbedding the community edition will receive the user interface to imbed. Customers of the subscribing vendor must go through the registration process to receive the community governance algorithm add-in.
