AISFM Conducts Filmmaking Workshop with Hollywood Director & Producer Kurt Inderbitzin in Mumbai

Kurt interacted with the students of KC College of Mumbai and shared his insights on filmmaking in the workshop.

Annapurna International School of Film and Media (AISFM), India's premier film school conducted a seminar for the students of KC College of Arts & Commerce, Mumbai about various aspects of filmmaking as well as careers in the film & media industry today.

The students, excited to experience the hands-on workshop, flocked to register themselves as this is the first time a film school has conducted a workshop by Kurt Inderbitzin, the Hollywood Director & Producer exclusively for KC College. Kurt interacted with the students and shared his insights on filmmaking in the workshop.

The film & Media industry has been steadily increasing in popularity as a choice of career in India and there have been manifold changes in the technology. The Industry standards have never been higher with the convergence of Digital media, but the film & media curriculum has not been updated. AISFM aims to educate the students about the benefits of adapting the curriculum of international standards and help the aspiring filmmakers to upgrade their skill set through the three hour workshop.

The workshop was primarily divided into three brainstorming sessions. In the first session students were given a script and were suggested to work on an ad film. This was an exercise given by Kurt to train the students on film direction. The second part was an interactive session where the students learned about the varied courses offered by AISFM and the making of documentaries, films and TV serials.

The workshop ended with Kurt driving the Q&A round answering questions pertaining to career options in film industry, courses curriculum, campus placements etc. Kurt taught students about technical aspects of filmmaking, use of latest technology, cinematography, Direction & screenplay writing.

Speaking on the occasion, Kurt Inderbitzin said "There is a huge surge of demand for trained talent in the Film & Media industry and Parallely the students' interest in the unconventional careers has piqued. The workshop has received immensely positive response from the students and it was an immense pleasure to interact with such fresh talent in Mumbai and to guide them in pursuing a career in this industry. ".

Kurt is a highly experienced and successful director and producer from Hollywood. He has produced feature films and television movies and series in the United States for CBS, ABC, NBC, Lifetime, TBS and USA before becoming the President of Abandon Pictures, a diversified entertainment company.
