African Cloud Computing Deployment Set To Rise In 2012

Bristol (I-Newswire) January 12, 2012 - The deployment of cloud services and new IT technologies is set to rise dramatically across the African continent this year.

That’s the verdict of a number of industry professionals and analysts across the globe, and something that has led one of the sector’s leading event series into holding their first trade show on African soil – the Cloud Computing World Forum Africa, to take place in Johannesburg, on 8th May 2012.

According to a recent report by global analysts, IDC, Africa’s adoption of Cloud Computing and IT, alongside the Middle East and Turkey, is set to grow in double-digits in 2012, up 12% to $65 billion, with many businesses and organisations across the continent looking for new ways to integrate the use of cloud services into their IT operations and benefit from its cost-effectiveness.
