Advanced Clinical Announces New Vice President of Clinical Operations

BANNOCKBURN, IL (I-Newswire) December 1, 2010 - Advanced Clinical, a leader in the Pharmaceutical development industry, today announced an addition to its leadership team: Mark Lanfear has been hired as Vice President, Clinical Operations to lead Advanced Clinical in its expansion of service offerings for 2011.

Mark is respected as a cutting-edge leader in the field of outsourcing in the pharmaceutical industry and using outcomes metrics to influence decision-making. As Vice President of Clinical Operations, Mark is responsible for overseeing all clinical operations. His experience includes managing departments, deliverables, timelines and budgets, and he has directed and executed clinical and data management projects in North America, Eastern Europe, India, and Latin America. Additionally, Mark’s therapeutic development experience includes nutritionals, metabolic disease, cardiology, oncology, neurology, virology, gynecology and dermatology.

Over his tenure in the industry, Mark has successfully directed departments within Abbott Laboratories, i3 Statprobe, Pfizer Research and Development, KV Pharmaceuticals, Hoffman-La Roche, and as Vice President of World Wide Strategic Alliances for Kforce Clinical Research. Mark has achieved three FDA approvals during his career. He has been on the speaker faculty of Partnerships Conference and the Clinical Trials Congress, and has contributed to numerous life sciences publications, such as PharmaVOICE, The Monitor, Applied Clinical Trials, and R&D Directives.

Mark earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in biological sciences and health care sciences, both from the University of Michigan. He has participated as an adjunctive professor at the University of Michigan School of Public Health’s graduate program in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis, as well as Eastern Michigan University’s program in Clinical Research Administration. Mark is a current member of the Drug Information Association, the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, a Contributor to the PharmaVoice periodical and an educational member of the American Diabetes Association.
