Advance Online Ticket Sales Offer Bonus for 2nd Annual Bras Across the River Event

Manchester, NH (I-Newswire) July 29, 2011 - Advance tickets are now on sale at http://www.BrasAcrossTheRiver.com for the second annual Bras Across the River fundraiser. Anyone who buys their $10 ticket online by Friday, Aug. 26, will receive a $10 dining certificate to T-BONES and Cactus Jack’s restaurants. Get an even better deal by purchasing five $10 tickets for only $40 – and receive $50 in T-BONES and Cactus Jack’s dining certificates! Children 12 and younger are admitted for free.

Tickets purchased in advance also serve as an entry form for a chance to win a $500 shopping spree from Macy’s. Eventgoers should drop off their ticket stub at the Macy’s booth at the event to be entered.

Bras Across the River will take place from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, on the Bridge Street bridge in downtown Manchester. Thousands are expected to attend this fundraiser, which is geared toward the entire family.

Each person attending the event is also asked to bring a bra. All bras will be hung from the bridge that day.

More than 80 vendors have signed on to participate in Bras Across the River and support the cause. The Stress-Free Zone will offer free pampering from area salons, massage and yoga studios. Local restaurants and bakeries will sell delicious locally made goods for all appetites. Health and cancer organizations plan to share information, and the Artist Nook will feature artists and their wares. And the Kids’ Zone will provide entertainment such as balloon art and face painting.

About 200 students from the New Hampshire Institute of Art will participate in the Sidewalk ArtFest – watch talented artists create sidewalk art throughout the event. Musicians and other performers will also offer entertainment throughout Bras Across the River.

Bras Across the River was created by 95.7 WZID FM, and is presented by Velcro USA Inc. and supported by AutoFair, Bellwether Community Credit Union, Hannaford and St. Joseph Hospital Breast Care Center. The money raised from all ticket sale donations will directly benefit St. Joseph Hospital Breast Care Center and New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition.
