Butch McGovern has been appointed Senior Vice President and Surety Manager of Smith Insurance & Bonds.

FL (I-Newswire) November 8, 2010 - Butch McGovern has been appointed Senior Vice President and Surety Manager of Smith Insurance & Bonds. McGovern's' twenty plus years of construction experience consists of senior management on large multiple phase public, private and institutional projects. Combining McGoverns professional experience and his education credentials (BS Finance, MBA) immediately elevates McGoverns ability to deliver sound, professional surety council to owners of construction companies.

A State of Florida Certified CG License holder, McGovern's focus as SVP and Surety Manager at SIB will include that significant market segment of emerging and established construction firms throughout the southeast of the United States who seek to establish or improve their current surety program, in addition to managing the firms relationships with the country's top surety companies.

Over the course of his career, McGovern has been very active in the construction industry and community affairs, having served as the Vice Chair and founding director of the US Green Building Council of SWFL and serving on the Lee County's Construction License Board.
