Cherrelle éLan and Hottywood wrap up filming for the first five episodes of HottywoodHelps.com-The Webseries.

Washington, DC (I-Newswire) November 8, 2010 - Featured in HottywoodHelps.com-The Web-Series, Cherrelle éLan and local blogger, Hottywood have completed production for round one of the web-based dramedy.

Pre-produced completely via internet over the past 9 months, éLan and Hottywood were able to co-write and co-produce the web-series from different corners of the U.S. From developing story lines, to casting and rehearsing talent, the two utilized online sites www.nycasting.com and www.oovoo.com to prepare for the day of filming. Also collaborating with production company Hollywood East Productions, the team locked in dates and locations.

Marking Washington, DC as the place to film, éLan and Hottywood along with the entire production team met in person for the first time.

“Hottywood and I are Alumni of The Duke Ellington School of the Arts with different graduating classes. So we never crossed paths until 20 years later on Facebook. And since I live in Los Angeles and he in Washington, DC, it’s amazing we were able to team up and hone our talents to produce a script.” says éLan.

Filming of the web-series began October 15, 2010 in Largo, Maryland and ended October 17, 2010 in Sterling, VA. Hollywood East’s, Greg Amiker signed on to Direct. Cast included Lisa DiFiore (NY), Joe Feldman (VA), Joseph Hernandez (NY) and Alvin Hysong (NY).

“It was such an amazing experience and opportunity to work with such a well rounded and dedicated group of talented people. I wouldn’t have traded it for anything in the world. And I know that the next season is going to be a blast, not just for the cast and crew, but for viewers as well.” Hottywood says.

Also, honoring their alma-mater, The Duke Ellington School of the Arts, éLan and Hottywood provided hands-on experience to three current students--Kyndall Brown, Danielle Kent and Marcus Blanco–with internships during production of the project. éLan, a graduate of Howard University hired Joshua Prescott to act in the series as well.

"Hottywood Helps has been an awesome experience! We all engaged 100% when we got on set and I have to say the casting couldn't have been better. Basically the three days we were shooting Hottywood's first season, we got to delve into characters and make them come to life. I’m really looking forward to a really exciting second season." says Prescott.

Centered around office politics, HottywoodHelps.com includes a plethora of back stabbing scandal, petty work ethics and bogus employees. More about the web-series can be found at www.HottywoodHelps.com The web-series is expected to launch in 2011.
