The MHL (USB Micro-B) to HDMI (Type-A female) adapter is ideal for connecting tablets, Smartphones or other MHL-enabled devices to HDMI TVs

Fremont, CA. (I-Newswire) July 26, 2011 - Accell, a provider of premium audio/video and computer accessories, announced today the addition of the MHL to HDMI adapter to the company’s ever-expanding Smartphone and tablet accessories product line. Designed for use with mobile devices featuring MHL technology, the MHL to HDMI adapter transmits both audio and video, so users can now view pictures, watch movies or listen to music on home entertainment systems.

Featuring MHL 1 (Mobile High-Definition Link) technology, Accell’s MHL to HDMI adapter connects a MHL enabled mobile device, such as a tablet or a Smartphone, to an HDMI supported TV, projector or display. The adapter connects directly to the USB 2.0 Micro-B port of a MHL enabled device, and with the use of an HDMI cable, users can connect the MHL to HDMI adapter to their HDTV. In addition, by connecting the Smartphone or tablet’s charger to the MHL adapter, the mobile device will remain powered while in use.

Accell’s MHL to HDMI adapter features the following:

• Watch videos, view pictures or listen to music on a TV or home theater system
• Supports all video resolutions and audio formats, including 1080p video and digital audio
• Connect device’s charger to the adapter to supply power to the mobile device while in use

Available for purchase with an MSRP of $24.99, the MHL to HDMI adapter can be found at various Accell retailers and distributors.
