Berlin, Germany (I-Newswire) April 27, 2011 - On a sailing trip around the world the French couple Isabelle and Marc discovered a jewel-like island in the Vanuatu Archipelago – Ratua, a small island of 146 acres with lush tropical gardens and picture perfect beaches. After several meetings with the village elders, the couple adopted the island and created a magical place with 15 Indonesian-style villas and an overwater spa.

Following a philosophy of ethical and ecological tourism, the owners have taken on the responsibility to preserve the treasured sanctuary. 100% of profits are invested in projects to support the local community, all food served is sourced locally and in the future the goal is to be completely self-sufficient and carbon-neutral.

Guests are cared for at the highest level with almost 60 staff living and working on the island. Guests have exclusive access to the 20 horses roaming around the island to discover the island or lagoons nearby. Complimentary equipment is provided for all activities on the island and its shores.
