Dallas, Texas (I-Newswire) February 18, 2013 - The KidLinks Foundation – a nonprofit that has been improving the emotional and physical needs of children by directly funding therapeutic music programs in North Texas for more than a decade – is pleased to announce the participation of the Dallas Chamber Symphony as a sponsor of its third annual “Symphony of Chefs” fine dining event on February 25, 2013 at the Petroleum Club, Dallas. At the event, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy music performed by members of the newest professional performance ensemble in North Texas.

“The Dallas Chamber Symphony is very pleased to lend its name and talent to this worthy event,” says Richard McKay, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Dallas Chamber Symphony. “Our organization knows firsthand how much joy music can bring. Anything the Dallas Chamber Symphony can do to help introduce it to children in dire circumstance is truly an honor.”

All proceeds from the event will be used to fund several North Texas therapeutic music programs for children that are critically ill or have developmental delays. These organizations include Children’s Medical Center Music Therapy Program, SMU/Hugworks Music Therapy Program, Cook Children’s Medical Center, Ft. Worth, and Hurst-based Hugworks.

Symphony of Chefs attendees will experience an evening of fine dining like no other – with renowned area chefs each preparing a five-course dinner tableside exclusively for a table of 10 guests. The chefs will create their own menu, select complementing wines, and interact with table guests while preparing their gastronomical masterpiece.

The event is open to the public with tables for 10 ranging in price from $5,000 to $25,000, and a limited number of individual seats are available for $500. In addition to ticket sales, money will also be raised through a live “Chef Auction” – while everyone is cooking and eating, chefs will auction themselves off for a private, in-home dining experience. For more information about the event and to register, visit www.symphonyofchefs.com.
