Daniel Peragine Storming to Success with Newly Found Company

The Majestic Radio Company, Inc. founder has just the right ingredients towards building "the next big thing."

Just a few months ago, Daniel Peragine was hoping to find a job in any given field like many college graduate-bound students.

Today, he is a small business owner looking to turn his company into a successful storybook.

Peragine vividly remembers his final year at Felician College. After forming his first ever Internet radio station called DJ DP Radio in 2011, which attracted thousands of listeners on Live365, Peragine was quickly introduced to forming a business by his good friend, Christopher Harvey.

“I was sitting on a Felician College shuttle bus in February of 2012 when Harvey e-mailed me on Facebook,” Peragine recalls. “It was quite clear how much faith he had in me when it came to building a business. I was very reluctant at first, but my friends began to push me to give it a try. I was amazed to see how many people believed in what I could do.”

After a few weeks of serious thinking, Peragine gave Harvey a call and decided to meet with the man who would launch his business career, Joseph Lizza. Lizza, who owns Lizza and Associates, a certified public accountant in Lyndhurst, N.J., has since become Peragine’s biggest advisor in his young lifetime. Just minutes after their first meeting, Peragine told friends who had pushed him to form a company that he was entering the business world.

“It was probably the most happiest moment of my life,” Peragine said. “I had no idea this was coming. I never dreamed of owning a business. It felt great!”

Sitting in a small college dorm at Felician College with his roommate, Peragine put forth a business plan and would call his new business, The Majestic Radio Company, Inc. Just days later, his new company would be founded in Rutherford, N.J.

Today, the company focuses in on the multimedia industry by offering web design services for both businesses and individuals, an online monthly newsletter and will be launching its biggest project to date, The Majestic Radio Station, on Monday, May 27.

Peragine often credits his college for giving him the push to form a company that could one day make history.

“I would have to say that Felician College has truly the best faculty staff that can compete with any big name institution. Professors took time out of their schedule to help me learn about the business culture. You simply cannot find that kind of attention in many colleges.”

The 23-year-old CEO is also strongly influenced by his time as Station Manager at WRFC Radio.

“WRFC Radio is Felician College’s biggest and most successful tool going forward in the future,” Peragine said. “That place has had such a deep and profound impact on my life. So much of what I have learned at WRFC is being used in the business decisions I make with the company.”

In the future, Peragine hopes to contribute more to his college by sharing his story to help the college grow.

“I would absolutely love to continue my mission to not just help the college but to contribute to WRFC by giving students such an amazing experience there. In my view, if the college wants to really grow, they should put more thought and investment to this side of the institute. By a snap of the finger, WRFC could easily be the largest club on campus.”

Recently, The Majestic Radio Company, Inc. has grown to four partners, with Peragine leading the way. Two of his business partners are also graduates from Felician College. Peragine and the rest of the company shareholders are committed to keeping web design and radio advertising rates low in hopes of attracting more clients and advertisers.

“Our economy continues to remain fragile and the first day the company was founded, I pledged to keep our rates low because we want to see our clients succeed,” said Peragine. “Our goal is to help our clients reach levels of success. We want to have them grow with us.”

The Majestic Radio Station, which Peragine describes as the “big purpose of our company’s mission,” will be an innovative Internet radio station that is set to air a wide blend of music from the 1990s to today’s biggest pop hits. The station will also host a number of live shows, events and live in-studio guests.

Peragine spoke very highly of the company’s decision to go on the Internet instead of the airwaves. He hopes that The Majestic Radio will provide an alternative station for listeners to tune into, pointing out that its programming will be drastically different from major providers.

Asked on the idea of taking The Majestic Radio Company, Inc. on a global basis, Peragine said he would love to explore the option to form an international based company specializing in Internet radio.
“Over the years living on campus at Felician College, I have had the pleasure of meeting people from across the world. I have really grown deep interest what the media industry holds in Japan and Korea. From the many things I’ve learned about their culture, I would love the chance to great a global radio station in the near future.”

Recently, Peragine expressed his desire to create a global Internet radio station by 2014 and forming a new international company based in the United States. He says he is completely focused on the launch of The Majestic Radio Station but is already making rough draft plans on how he would like to expand on an international level.

Among his influences, Peragine always points to Steve Jobs as the person he admires. Peragine says that one day, he hopes to build the company just as strong as Apple.

“It would be my true American dream to see this company go public one day,” Peragine said with a smile. “If we ever went to those lengths, I could not tell how my reaction would be. I think I would be the happiest man on the planet.”

For now, Peragine is playing it step-by-step with his company.

“We are taking the appropriate steps towards a positive future. I believe I have a gift and that is to be a person leading this company to new levels and beyond.”
