Casa De Amparo Receives Gift Donations From SoCal Volleyball Club

San Marcos, California (I-Newswire) December 21, 2012 - SoCal Volleyball Club dropped off thousands of holiday gifts to Casa de Amparo this week. During the fall, SoCal donated around $5,000 to a fund that will be used for Casa Kids to participate in a local volleyball program at the club’s location in San Marcos. SoCal then decided to have each of their 29 volleyball teams sponsor a Casa Kid for the holidays. Each team gathered gifts from their child’s wish list and made deliveries this week.

SoCal Directors Scott Philips and Aimee Asebrook, continue to feel strongly about supporting the community in which they exist. “At SoCal, we try to foster the spirit of community service within our kids by participating in projects that benefit our community each season,” shares Asebrook. “We love teaming up with Casa de Amparo, which provides residentially based services in a safe and nurturing setting for children aged 6-18 who have been removed from their homes as a result of abuse or neglect. As an organization that supports the health and wellbeing of athletes in North County, this organization is near and dear to the heart of our volleyball club.”
