In 2002, the company went on to win the Japan Quality Medal, awarded by the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE), Japan thereby becoming the first company in India and the second outside Japan to win this distinction. Later, the company became WABCO-TVS.

This year, Sundaram-Clayton, Die Casting Division, has been further awarded the prestigious Platinum Distinction in the Indian Manufacturing Excellence Awards (IMEA).
