4 Stars and 2 Rosettes for Lake District Hotel

Lake District Hotels Ltd is very pleased to announce that the Inn on the Lake has recently been awarded 4 stars and 2 rosettes by the AA.

Ullswater, Cumbria (I-Newswire) September 30, 2012 - A huge thanks go to all the staff who have worked hard to maintain the high standards of hospitality and the consistent quality they produce on a daily basis which made this possible. The recent refurbishment of the hotel has also had a big impact on the hotel receiving this award.

The AA Inspector had this to say after his overnight inspection of the hotel:
“Following my overnight inspection to the Inn on the Lake, I found all areas of the operation to be in line with AA standards, therefore I am happy to recommend a four Star classification, with an AA Merit score of 78%. Customer care met four Star expectations, the friendly team of staff ensured guests were well looked after during their stay. Food was very enjoyable, particularly my restaurant meal, which showed good use of quality produce and now meets a two AA Rosette award. Housekeeping showed very good attention to detail and standards were fine throughout all areas, the taps, bath fittings and mirrors were nicely polished, and carpet edges were well vacuumed. Physically the property was well maintained throughout, bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas were smartly appointed and provided a high degree of comfort. The building presents very well from the exterior and there were no maintenance issues; the grounds, gardens and car park were neat, tidy and very well presented.”

The Inn on the Lake 47 bedroom hotel is the second hotel within the Lake District Hotels Ltd group to be awarded 4 stars by AA. The Lodore Falls Hotel was awarded 4 stars in 2010 and has gone from strength to strength. All 47 bedrooms at the Inn on the Lake have been thoughtfully designed with most rooms having breathtaking view, some looking towards the magnificent Helvellyn Mountain Range, while the majority look over the ever changing Lake Ullswater.
