Mary Tocco, well-known vaccine investigator, is coming to the River Center at Saluda Shoals in Columbia, SC on October 24th

(I-Newswire) October 17, 2009 - Columbia, SC, October 16, 2009 — Vaccine and wellness expert, Mary Tocco won't be getting the flu shot this year. Tocco will explain why she and her children are vaccine-free at a seminar hosted by the South Carolina Vaccine Awareness Coalition on October 24th in Columbia. “My goal is to provide parents with the factual pros and cons of vaccines,” Tocco says. “I will help to change public awareness and attitudes about vaccines and our current flawed health care system.”

For approximately 30 years, Tocco has researched vaccines, infectious diseases and other health care issues that American families face. She also manages a chiropractic wellness clinic in Charleston, SC and helped establish the American Chiropractic Autism Board in 2008.

Tocco will address a range of topics including ingredients in childhood vaccines, the H1N1 swine flu vaccine, seasonal flu shots, exemption rights, as well as the natural alternatives that will help attendees stay healthy during the flu season and beyond. The SCVAC strongly encourages parents to attend the seminar to better equip themselves for making important decisions regarding the health of their children. Vendors from health care fields across South Carolina will also have information available on how to live a more proactive, healthy lifestyle. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.

The seminar is from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the River Center at Saluda Shoals Park in Columbia. Doors will open at 8:45. For more information or for directions from your location, contact Justin Stout at info@scvac.org. The SCVAC can be found online at www.scvac.org.
