As the economy is continuing to grow, members of the Washington, D.C. chapter of Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) say they plan to hire more employees and expect an increase in net profit and revenue in the next six months, according to recent Global Entrepreneur Indicator survey results.

EO|DC has 124 members and their companies have more than $3,9007,146 million in total sales and employ 6,404 individuals.

"After many years of decline or stagnant growth, entrepreneurs today have a positive outlook on the future of their businesses, as you can see in the results of this survey," said Red Thinking founder and CEO Jen Sterling, president of EO|DC. "Businesses in our chapter are growing, whether by adding more staff or generating more revenue, or both. As entrepreneurial companies are growing, they are bringing on more consultants, which is a huge industry in our chapter. And more than business revenue is growing - the membership of our chapter grew by 20 percent in the last year."

Each year, EO surveys its members worldwide to put together a Global Entrepreneur Indicator, which gauges entrepreneurs' outlook on business performance, both in the past and in the future. See below for an overview of EO|DC's responses to the Global Entrepreneur Indicator.
