The 2013 Taurus is also available in the SHO model, which features a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine with a unique sport-tuned suspension that gives drivers an exhilarating V8 power experience with estimated 17 city/25 highway miles per gallon. This powerful engine also produces 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft. of torque.

New for the 2013 model, the Taurus features Ford’s new curve control technology standard on all models, which slows down the vehicle when it senses that the driver is going too fast through a curve. An enhancement to AdvanceTrac with electronic stability control, curve control employs throttle reduction and 4-wheel breaking intervention to help the driver maintain control of the vehicle.

Also available on the new Taurus is Ford’s innovative hands-free active park assist. Using ultrasonic sensors, active park assist will locate an available parallel parking space, unlike other systems that employ imaging devices, and will parallel park the Taurus with almost no input from the driver.
