2013 Ford Escape Begins Production, Arriving At Springfield Ford Lincoln Soon

Springfield, PA (I-Newswire) June 21, 2012 - The new 2013 Ford Escape has just begun its production run in Louisville, KY and will soon be available across the country at dealerships like Springfield Ford Lincoln. The new model is a completely new design that moves away from the boxy, outdated look of previous models. For 2013, the Escape features a more European design with more aerodynamic lines, much like the Ford Focus sedan it is based on. Included with the new modern design is a plethora of fantastic new technology. As with any new Ford vehicle, in-car technology is central and drivers can add on different features; making the experience that much more enjoyable. Features include Ford’s Sync technology, hands-free tailgate opening, blind-spot monitoring, automatic parallel parking, and much more.

No longer available is the hybrid version of the Escape, but with the 1.6 liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder and the front-wheel drive setup, drivers can expect to see around 33 MPG on the highway. Other engine options include a 2.0 liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder and a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder. All three options return respectable fuel efficiency, even when paired with all-wheel drive.

Aimed primarily at the baby-boomers who are going through a period of downsizing, the new Escape is all about saving space while remaining a very comfortable ride. Four extra inches in overall vehicle length give it that extra space inside to make it even more enjoyable while keeping it small enough to remain agile and easy to navigate around town in.
