2012 Olympics Evangelistic Outreach Team Being Formed

HGIM is now accepting applications to join the mission outreach team to the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Willard, OH (I-Newswire) November 13, 2011 - Heart of God International Ministries (HGIM) is preparing to take a team of evangelists to London during the 2012 Summer Olympics. Although HGIM (see http://hgimnetwork.org) has led several mission trips into India and East Africa, this will be the first outreach of its kind, going where the nations gather together rather than literally going to the nations, one location at a time. People will be gathering in a centralized area with the intention of participating in and/or viewing the Summer Olympic Games, furthering HGIM’s Great Commission objective.

Heart of God International Ministries is an Ohio-based 501c3 not-for-profit global evangelistic network of ministries governed by an all-volunteer staff. Jan Ross, HGIM President, said, “God laid this outreach on my heart several months ago. Not sure if this was something we could do or even wanted to do since it’s different from anything else we’ve ever done, I spent the next few months in prayer as the leading grew stronger. I told the Board of Directors that I would like to organize this Outreach to broaden HGIM’s scope of outreach and to enlist the participation of more people who would be willing to join us in this endeavor.” After prayerful discussion and favorable response, the idea began to explode as initial contacts were made and plans immediately began to fall into place.

Said Ross, “I am excited to announce that Scott Ingram, HGIM’s Minister of Evangelism, will be leading the team the Lord calls together on this special Outreach. Scott is a seasoned missionary and a passionate evangelist; he possesses the ability to accomplish the goals of this Outreach without question.” Ingram is HGIM’s first full-time missionary called to minister where needed, bringing spiritual insight, administrative skills, innovation and excitement to the mission field. He will be assigned to HGIM’s ministry in Haiti beginning January 2012 for several months, working closely with David Young, Executive Director of Heart of God Haiti (http://heartofgodhaiti.org) to strengthen and expand the work at the orphanage and local community.

HGIM is now accepting applications to join the mission outreach team to the 2012 Summer Olympics. Along with individuals willing to share their testimonies and faith in Jesus Christ, the organizers of this Outreach are looking for drama teams and sidewalk musicians – those who have no need of elaborate props or sound systems but who are able to communicate the Gospel through their God-given gifts and talents in an international multi-lingual setting.

Trip fee is set up in easy payments; there is a $100 reduced rate offered as an incentive to those who submit completed applications and deposit prior to December 15, 2011.
