EAST DUNDEE, ILLINOIS – The Dundee Township Republican Central Committee, Inc., in conjunction with the Dundee Township Republican Organization, is hosting its Eighteenth Annual Lincoln Award and Dinner on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Milk Pail Restaurant on Rt. 25 in East Dundee, Illinois. A social hour will begin at 5:00 pm, and the program at 6:00 pm.

This year's Lincoln Award recipient is 16th Circuit Court Judge, John A. Barsanti, in recognition and appreciation for his exemplary service in the office of Kane County State's Attorney. Former Illinois Senator, Steven J. Rauschenberger is the Keynote speaker.

Mr. Barsanti, elected as State's Attorney in 2004 and re-elected in 2008, has a total of 27 years as a prosecutor dating to 1979, two years after law school, when he first joined the office. The Illinois Supreme Court recently appointed him as a Circuit Court Judge in the 16th Judicial Circuit to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Michael J. Colwell.
