1080p HD Multipoint Virtual Rooms Added To The VideoCloud Portfolio

VideoCentric, the UK’s leading Video Conferencing Integrator, has today announced the addition of Full HD 1080p multi-party meeting rooms to its VideoCloud portfolio.

Bristol (I-Newswire) January 30, 2013 - The VideoCloud Portfolio, launched in October 2012, is the most comprehensive portfolio of managed video communication services available on the market today, offering virtual rooms, HD point-to-point, Skype & Lync connectivity, SIP/H.323 transcoding, firewall traversal, gateways, two way data collaboration and global concierge services.

The VideoCloud has now been expanded to offer 1080p Multipoint calling, enabling professionals to connect with clients, colleagues and customers in HD from around the world, without the need for complex and expensive infrastructure, maintenance of an MCU or the need for large and expensive broadband links to feed it. The VideoCloud 1080p service offers unlimited 24x7 access from both H.323 and SIP devices from all the leading video conferencing manufacturers and allows Mac, PC and iPad users into the meeting in high definition where necessary. The VideoCloud 1080p service also enables those customers with lower specification, featureless video conferencing systems to enjoy multipoint video without any change to their current equipment.

“Nowadays, professionals require the highest quality video conferences without having to worry about the underlying infrastructure. They are also looking for solutions with the complete flexibility and at the lowest possible cost of ownership. VideoCentric’s VideoCloud achieves this by offering SD, 720p and now 1080p virtual meeting rooms in the cloud, and ensuring interoperability with all the worlds’ leading manufacturers – Cisco, Polycom, LifeSize, Avaya and Microsoft, all managed, tested and supported by the most knowledgeable technical team in the industry,” commented Emily Shimell, Communications Manager at VideoCentric Ltd.

VideoCentric continue to add new services and features to its VideoCloud portfolio, which now comprises 13 individual services as well as complete private, public or hybrid solutions that can be bolted together to create a tailor made cloud service for individual customer needs.
