(I-Newswire) July 23, 2007 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 22nd, 2007
Reverie Productions (Hollywood) and Tiger Films (Singapore) unite for epic feature film, "1066."
"1066" is the story of two Kings, one Duke, a single Kingdom and two classic battles that changed the future of England forever!
1066 is the most famous date in English history. It is the year in which Duke William of Normandy led his conquering campaign against King Harold II of England culminating with these two powerful and determined men warring against each other in the Battle of Hastings.
Producers Chris Carson and Robin Jacob have been inundated with industry inquiries regarding this epic. The two have now brought on-board young Italian composer Alessandro Ponti who composed a stunning demo for 1066. "Alessandro understood exactly what I wanted for music in this production. I was looking for something different, more ethnic than the usual full orchestra sound yet he has still managed to create a BIG SOUND." said Robin. Together with Bronwen Harrison the music will be a unique mix of an Anglo Saxon feel blended with modern techniques."
Special Effects Supervisor Ian Wingrove (Troy, Henry V, Black Hawk Down) contacted Robin and offered his services on the production. "When one has such an experienced veteran offer to join a production one does not say anything but YES!"
The first major star has been attached to the movie. The pivotal role of Viking King Hardrada has been filled by Ian Whyte (Harry Potter, The Goblet of Fire and Alien V Predator). As an expert in broadswords, martial arts and horse riding, plus the fact he is over 7 feet tall, he will make him an imposing foe for the Saxon army.
